DTM Update: Audi To Run 3 Rookies

Audi has signed three rookies to it's DTM programe

Double Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix winner Edoardo Mortara (born 12 January 1987 in Genève, Switzerland). Mortara won the season-opening race at Circuit Paul Ricard in the Formula Three Euroseries, eventually winning the F3 Euro Series crown.

Race of Champions winner Filipe Albuquerque (born June 13, 1985 in Coimbra). Albuquerque also competed in the Italian GT3 Championship full-time, finishing as joint-runner up in the series with his Audi R8 LMS

Swiss female racer Rahel Frey. Rahel competed in the LMGT1 category of 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. She shared #61 Matech Competition Ford GT with fellow Swiss drivers Natacha Gachnang and Cyndie Allemann. All three participating Fords were forced to retire from the race.

The new additions will all drive older-spec cars, and replace Markus Winkelhock, Katherine Legge and the already-dropped Alexandre Premat.

Frey will join ex-Abt driver Martin Tomczyk in the Phoenix team.

Mortara and Albuquerque will drive for the Rosberg Audi squad.
